I love almost anything on HGTV and I especially enjoy the renovation shows, like Love It or List It, anything by Sarah Richardson and The Property Brothers.
I like seeing what the kitchen or master bedroom or a bathroom looked like before and then the stunning transformation after the work has been done. Sometimes the room makeover is complicated, like moving walls, changing the plumbing, ripping out all the cabinetry and taking up the flooring and sometimes it is more simple, like a change in paint color, rearranging the furniture and some new accessories.
Well, I went for a bit of a makeover today.
I booked an appointment at Over the Edge Hair Salon and I had ten inches of hair cut off to donate to Locks of Love, which is an organization that makes hairpieces for disadvantaged kids with various long term health problems like alopecia or cancer. My stylist Rebecca did a fabulous job and I love my new do! I feel ten pounds lighter, a few years younger and I feel great about giving something away to those who need it more than I do.
It is amazing what a good haircut can do for your soul!
P.S. I also got new glasses! Did you recognize me? I hardly recognize myself!
