Zakopane, snow, skiing and grzaniec

Snow is cold.

Especially at the top of a mountain accessible only by gondola.  We spent a few days in Zakopane enjoying the snow, easy ski hills and the sauna at our hotel.

The girls have “mulled tea” and are double-fisting it. Mike and I stuck with beer.

The kiddy sledding hill that the crew enjoyed for hours without proper clothing. Kudos to Jenny for being the responsible adult while Leah, Mike and I huddled in the chalet drinking mulled wine. Though we brought her at least one cup of it.

Leah’s last ski run ever.

First time snowboarding in 15 years. Just like riding a bike. Equipment has come a long way since 1994 when I bought my last snowboard.

A quick picture of the chaos associated with an Ankel Adventure.

Where google thinks the Strba train station is.

It was a cluster getting from Zakopane to Bratislava, no thanks to someone who shall not be named buying tickets for the wrong day (it was me).  Finishing is winning.
