The rainy season has hit Costa Rica, so we decided to do one last road trip before we left for Europe.
Sibu is nestled high in the hills above San Jose, where they make incredible food, coffee and chocolate desserts. Our house is about 15-20 minutes away and we made the drive 3 or 4 times.
While the power failure got resolved we headed to Hotel Bougainvillea for lunch with Steve. This hotel was founded by a couple of green thumbs who started planting flowers and trees and just could not stop themselves – a common problem for expats in Costa Rica. The grounds were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our two visits.
We came to to Costa Rica because we knew a few people who love it here (thanks Carna and Peter)
We went to the Doka Coffee plantation. We saw some coffee plants.
