So I picked the boys brains a bit about what they have liked and disliked so far on our trip. Here’s what they have come up with.
According to James…
The best thing about cruising is… watching movies during a passage and when it is bad weather.
The worst thing about cruising is… the sailboat itself. I would rather live on a motorboat, because they are bigger than sailboats and they have a living room and a real deck.
The best place we have been is… Marina Del Mar in Key Largo. I liked that we met friends there and we had happy hour every day. I liked going to the pool, because the temperature of the water was just right, not too hot and not too cold.
The coolest thing I have done on this trip is… visit the Bimini Shark Lab, where I got to go into the enclosure with the lemon sharks.
My least favorite part of the trip so far has been… dinghy rides and going to the beach. You always get wet going for a dinghy ride. The dinghy is a little small for our family so we all get sprayed with salt water. I don’t like getting my feet sandy at the beach.
My favorite part of the trip so far has been… when we had a sleepover at the boat Celebration. We got to watch movies and were introduced to the 3 Stooges and we had cinnamon buns for breakfast. That was the best!
According to Matthew…
The best thing about cruising is… that Viatori can go fast, but motor boats can go faster. When I grow up, I am going to live on a powerboat.
The worst thing about cruising is… that we can’t stay with our boat friends all the time, but we usually see them again.
The best place we have been is… Marina Del Marina in Key Largo. I really liked Joy and Dean’s dog, Cosmo. I enjoyed going for walks with Cosmo and Joy. Cosmo left pee-mail on his walks. The marina also had a warm swimming pool and a hot tub.
The coolest thing I have done on this trip is… snorkel Thunderball Cave.
My least favorite part of the trip was… going to the Shark Lab. I went into the shark pen, but it wasn’t really my thing. I almost got pinched by a crab while we were there as well and I didn’t like that.
My favorite part of the trip so far has been… going to Thunderball Grotto in Staniel Cay. I swam on Dad’s back and he took me right into the cave.
Love this post!! Always fun to hear what the kids are thinking. There may have been some collusion on the “motor boat” preference between a certain two boys though….. 🙂
Keep on posting, please! We love reading about your travels, Leah!
Hugs to you all,
am
Next time we will have to separate them before doing the interview. Matthew needs prompting to remember his favorites. James know exactly what he wants to say before you finish asking.
hehe, yep! That’s what I figured!
