If you can survive the road trip to get there, you at last arrive into the picturesque little town of Bandipur.
Our view of the valley of Bandipur. It was misty and very cloudy during our entire stay and we didn’t get to see much of the Annapurnas.
We happened to arrive in Bandipur at the start of some kind of street
food festival, which meant loud music, dancing, crowds and street food until the wee hours of the morning.
Just a little fire writing while we were waiting for dinner.
Each table had their country flags. We represented North America well!
All tucked in for our first night here; the music was still thumping outside.
Rustic, but comfortable accommodations.
The Ankels do white water rafting!
Four of the five kids already jumped into the river for a very cold, but refreshing dip. (And no, we did not leave Ethan behind, he’s just not in the picture!)
A little dabbing during the pit stop on the raft trip. This was a highlight of our Nepal trip for the kids.
The traffic! The honking! The hair pin turns! The road conditions! The sheer drop off on the side of the mountain!
All pooped out. We spent a lot of time in the van. And now, on to Chitwan National Park!
