No trip to France is complete without at least one Chateau visit. Château de Chantilly did not disappoint.

Always get the audio guides… Adds at least an hour to 6 year old museum endurance more if there is a kids version.
This chateau was the home of more of Henri d’Orléans, duc d’Aumale who collected art. Per our learning while visiting, every piece was selected by the Duke (duc?) for a specific reason. Here are a few of my favorites.

After walking through the Chateau including complaining about how far it is, they still have energy to run around and play tag… kids.
The duc loved horses so he built a modest stable to house them.
One the way out of the stable we found a hole in the fence to watch horse jumping. Amazing! We could even hear the horses breathe as they ran.
A great day at the chateau!
