Mount Fuji sketched on the glass of an abandoned bar before it was boarded up. Maybe the best picture I have of Mount Fuji.
We rented two traditional houses in the forest near mount Fuji, both equiped with lovely onsen (hot tubs and showers) in glassed rooms in a Japanese garden. There is no metro and the bus schedule was confusing so we took taxis everywhere. It was a relatively chill two days.
shoiji, options. mats, hard.
sliding doors, cold. low beams, ouch.

The lovely tub in our house. I forgot to take a picture of the stool showers. Picture a 12″ (30cm) stool and a tap at eye level. Sit on the stool and shower before you go in the tub. When in Rome!
boat chugging along
water churning behind it
new glasses floating
Note Leah’s black glasses case hanging out of the backpack pocket. This is less than 2 minutes before they went overboard. Only the second set Poseidon has got from the Viatori crew – though I don’t think he is in a fresh water lake in Japan.
Someone was tired.

Sometimes even shooting RAW won’t let you “save” the picture.

The abandoned bar. One of the cleanest abandoned spaces I’ve ever explored. Almost all the glass was still intact!
Even when they abandon a bar the put the stools up. Orderly.
