Ankel’s in Athens

It was my second time to Athen’s and it didn’t disappoint.  The scenery was beautiful the history was amazing.  This was slightly tempered with the continuous pick pocket attacks and the poverty.

The boat we rented was a couple of hours from Athens but we wanted to see some of Athens too, so we spent a few days there first.  Our hotel was relatively well located, with an awesome bakery half a block away and an excellent pizza and Greek food place a block away at the Hotel Rio.  We walked from our place to the Parthenon which took us through a sketchy neighborhood but it was day time and we went through at a good pace.  The Parthenon didn’t disappoint and we had a great few days before setting sail.  Little did we know we would be back.

What did the little hands that played with this look like?

Almost the same as the real thing!

I wonder what he is thinking or learning?

Our foodie! Matthew always takes the longest but the food he loves he really loves and savors… this goes both way though

Look I’m drinking from a fountain on the Parthenon!!!  Sometimes the other tourists are better than the attraction.

My beautiful wife

Morale was a bit low by this point. Ice cream time. We found cheaper sugary ice cream for the crew and “hand made” sherbet for the adults.

Get me out of here!

What has “she” seen?
