School’s Out for the Summer!
Our original European travel plans were to fly into Prague, but it was difficult to arrange the itinerary. We decided on Germany and enjoyed some excellent beer and pretzels while we were there.
When the girls are away the boys will play
For their 40th birthday’s Leah and Jennifer went to Sri Lanka on a girls trip. Mike and I, when faced with a long weekend surrounded by children decided to go to Dubai and some theme parks. But we never told the kids where we were going.
Our last few days in Tokyo

Kyoto and Fukujionsen
Old town Kyoto is the place to see Japanese people wearing traditional garb in a traditional setting. There is a great Japanese garden there which would have been serene except it was filled with temporary food stands that were all closed that day. Plus it rained almost continuously.
